Congratulations! So excited that you got engaged and that you are in search of a wedding venue for your destination wedding in France! Could it by any more romantic than to get married at a French chateau? I don’t think so!

Chateaux weddings are my most favorite weddings and I have been lucky enough to visit quite a few. So I would love to share my favorite chateau wedding venues around Paris.

1. Chateau de Chantilly

Trust me if I say the 16th century Chateau de Chantilly is one of the most stunning chateaux I have ever visited! If you would like to have the feeling of Versailles and would like to have a royal luxury wedding then this is your wedding venue!

The location of Chantilly is ideal for your destination wedding. It is only a 20 minute drive from Paris Charles du Gaulle Airport and a 40 minute drive from Paris. You don’t have to worry about your guests having to take another plane/train to get to the final destination. Your guests could stay in hotel Auberge de Jeu de Paume, next to Chateau de Chantilly.

There is also so much history behind chateau de Chantilly, and the fact that it has the 2nd largest painting collection in all of France, next to the Louvre, is very enchanting.  These paintings can never leave the property, so to see some of these original work of arts, you must go to Chantilly.

Trust me when I say you will find beauty around every corner. Whether you would like to have a big destination wedding or a very intimate wedding. Chateau de Chantilly will provide the most beautiful wedding backdrop for your luxury wedding and you will feel like royalty!

2. Chateau de Champlatreux

If you are looking for a chic wedding venue in France you should definitely consider the historic 18th century Chateau de Champlatreux. With a view on a huge park and fountain it is as chic as it’s steeped in history. The exquisite details, beautiful decors and several ball rooms will make this chateau the wedding venue of your dreams.

It is situated 15 minutes from Charles du Gaulle airport and 30 minutes from Paris. If you would like to step back in time when you are saying I Do and you love the old world charm then look no further!

3. Chateau de Bouthonvilliers

One of the most authentic and charming chateaux I have ever had the pleasure to visit. Chateau de Bouthonvilliers is situated only one and a half hour south of Paris, near the Loire Valley. With the authentic atmosphere it will be the most romantic wedding venue for your intimate wedding. If you visit this wedding venue you will fall in love with the romantic magic of this place. Also the owners Edouard and Alexia will make you feel home!

4. Chateau de Varennes

Situated in Burgundy, Chateau de Varennes it is a bit further away from Paris, a 3,5 hour drive, but I promise you….. it is totally worth it! Named by CNN among the ten best wedding venues of the world, it provides the most romantic and elegant backdrop for your luxury wedding. Best part, you can stay on this luxury estate for a whole week, relaxing, enjoying the swimming pool, visiting vineyards and getting married!

The bridal suite looks like a Parisian apartment, with the beautiful wooden floor and high ceilings. You can go for a big romantic outdoor garden wedding or for an intimate ceremony at the chapel. Either way, Chateau de Varennes will give you an unforgettable wedding celebration.

5. Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte

The Chateau Vaux le Vicomte is the ultimate chateau to realize your dream destination wedding in France. Especially for those who desire a touch of royal elegance near Paris.
