Lake Como anniversary session at Villa Balbiano, Italy

After wedding session at Villa Balbiano, lake como, captured by european wedding photographer Alexandra Vonk

This anniversary session at Villa Balbiano, located on Lake Como, was nothing short of magical. The villa’s breathtaking architecture and lush gardens provided a magnificent backdrop for the shoot. With its elegant façade and intricate details, the villa exuded timeless charm.

Morgana looked absolutely stunning in this Leah da Gloria gown. A dreamy fusion of contemporary design and traditional silhouettes with botanical embroidery that made this bridal look refined elegant. With Carlos’ classic black tuxedo they create a fashion-forward look that’s both elegant and on-trend.

Lake Como’s waters served as a mesmerizing backdrop. With the mountains in the distance and the sun casting a warm glow, each shot captured the idyllic essence of the location. Laughter, stolen glances, and gentle embraces translated into a visual love story, showing Carlos and Morgana’s connection.

This anniversary session in Lake Como, is a perfect example of the beauty that can be captured during a destination shoot.

There are several benefits to having a photoshoot after your wedding:

With an anniversary session, you can enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere than on your wedding day. You can take your time, be yourselves, and genuinely enjoy the experience without the stress of a tight schedule. You can choose other locations that hold sentimental value or offer stunning backdrops, like a picturesque beach, a lush garden, or an iconic venue like Villa Balbiano at Lake Como. It also allows you to extend the celebration of your love. It provides an opportunity to dress up again, relive the special moments, and capture beautiful memories in a more relaxed setting.

If you’re looking for inspiration for your own anniversary or engagement session, this session is not to be missed. Have you always dreamt of a romantic shoot in Italy? Contact European photographer Alexandra Vonk to bring your vision to life.
